Community Service

We engage youth in a variety of community-based service learning projects throughout the school year and summer.

Creative Arts Workshops

We offer art workshops in collaboration with the Plymouth State University Art Department and Student Art Collaborative. Art students, local artists, and staff members provide weekly opportunities for youth to engage in creative activities to foster self-expression.

Empowerment Groups

Staff and youth collaborate to cover important topics such as self-esteem, body image, healthy relationships, peer pressure, bullying, stress, stress relief, confidence, inner strength, achieving dreams, and much more.

Life Skills

Staff work with youth to develop important life skills in the areas of cooking, finance, career development, home management, and more, engaging youth in social and professional skills that prepare them for the future.

Mentoring

Staff offer one-on-one and group mentoring opportunities for all youth.

Nutrition

We offer healthy snacks and meals during out-of-school hours. Youth are also encouraged to assist in preparing daily meals.

Recreational Games & Activities

We offer a variety of recreational opportunities both at the center and in collaboration with Plymouth State University and other local partners. These activities help build and elaborate on social skills, team-building, and developing healthy exercise and fitness habits.

Science Collaborative and STEAM Activities

We partner with the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center (SLNSC) in offering an 8-month educational curriculum where youth learn about the natural environment and the wildlife that inhabit it. In addition, staff members engage youth in a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) activities to cultivate creativity and ingenuity.
