The Plymouth facility was once occupied by the town’s firehouse in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. More recently it was known as the Mountain Media Building, which published the local Record Enterprise newspaper. The Pemi Youth Center was founded in the fall of 1999 by Glenda Toomey when she saw an opportunity to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for local youth to gather outside of school. The Pemi Youth Center is still running today to empower the youth of the surrounding communities.
